If you are seeing special characters that are not displaying properly in BV when the record was created in RL, we looked into this issue and found out that as with Orion, you should refrain from copying and pasting text in Rightsline. Copying and pasting with web-based applications contains hidden characters that do not translate into non-web based applications such as BV.
There are two ways you can resolve this issue:
- RL has an excel upload function, so you can do the bulk work in Excel and then upload it into RL
- After you copy, paste the text into notepad. Copy the text from notepad and then make the bulk paste actions
Keep in mind that the updates only go to BV when the RL status is set to 'READY EXTERNAL Publish' so you'll need to adjust the status for the updates to appear in BV.
