Composite Episode not in RL but exists in BV (workaround)

 

Prerequisites:

- Composite Episode is in BV 

- Composite Episode is not in RL


These are the steps for this scenario:

  1. Catalog information is entered
  2. Required fields to be populated
  3. Composite Episode's pbs_traffic_id is added in RL

1. User will create a Composite Episode which is in BV and not in Rightsline in RL.

Select Catalog and create Composite Episode in RL. 

Catalog template is displayed.

2. Enter the required fields in the RL Composite Episode template.

Type the values in Composite Episode required fields:

  • Sort-Friendly Title- The series title with article at the end
  • Display Title- The full series title with article at the beginning
  • Title Language - defaults to English
  • Episode Number
  • PBS Reporting Category (Primary)- PBS's primary genre
  • PBS Synopsis Short-

  • Country of Origin-

Default The country

  • Approx. Length-

Approximation of the episode's total run time

  • PBS NOLA Root-

Alpha Characters that make up complete NOLA code identifier for broadcast

  • PBS NOLA Code-

Numerical characters that make up complete NOLA code identifier for broadcast.

  • Edit Use- Type of Edit (i.e. US broadcast, UK Version, Theatrical)
  • Edit Class-The purpose of the edit
  • Default Territory
  • Producer-Producer Name
  • Director – Director Name

The following fields are displayed on the Composite Episode template –

  • Sort-Friendly Title
  • Display Title
  • Title Language
  • Episode Number
  • PBS Reporting Category (Primary)
  • PBS Synopsis Short
  • Country of Origin
  • Approx. Length
  • PBS NOLA Root
  • PBS NOLA Code
  • Edit Use
  • Edit Class
  • Default Territory
  • Producer
  • Director

 

3. Go to Composite Episode and add the pbs_traffic_id value.

On the Composite Episode template, enter the value on the pbs_traffic_id field like cid:org: pbs.org:Broadview-xxxxxxxx

Pbs_traffic_id value is added on the Composite Episode template.

4. User submits a support ticket, so that the RL ID can be added in the Mbank episode

Go to support.pbs.org and create ticket.

Support ticket is submitted

5. After Tier 1/Tier 2 finishes the Mbank work, they will send a reply on the ticket.

Tier 1/Tier 2 will reply to users to complete step 6.

Reply is sent back to users.

6. User changes the Composite Episode's status to ‘Ready for scheduling’/Ready External Publish’.

Click on the Composite Episode template to change the status to ‘Ready for scheduling’/Ready External Publish’.  

Composite Episode status is changed in RL.
