There are three main sections to add a release date by using the tool:

  1. User schedules event on SIX PBS channel in BV.
  2. The event is set to Internally published and externally published.
  3. Programming users have access to Release Date Tool - https://metadatacompliance.pbs.org/

 

Steps:

  1.  

User schedules a first event for an episode in Broadview on a SIX PBS channel.

 

 2.

User sets the schedule ‘Internally Published’ or ‘Externally Published’.

3. 

User will get an email notification in every 60 mins after a new event on an episode is added.

 

4. 

User will click on the link in the email.

 

5. 

You will be redirected to the new page – compliance board

In the release tool page user will add the event date and event time on the release date field.

 

7.

User will now confirm if the episode details and release date is correct and click on ‘Submit’.

8.

After you submit the release date, you will get a “success message” on the page and the event will disappear.

 

9.

After some time, the event will be created in Mbank and Rightsline.
